Bridal Party

Carrie Frolich

Carrie is Colleen’s big sister and Matron of Honor.  She is quick witted and takes everything in stride.  She periodically yells at CEOs but gets flustered around boy bands. As if growing up together wasn't enough, Carrie and Colleen built custom queen sized bunk beds so they could share a 5th floor walk up one bedroom apartment when they first moved to New York.  Today they live three blocks apart.  Carrie has taught Colleen everything she knows about life, friendship, work, wine and the importance of a well-timed joke, among other things.

Melissa Grillo Aruz

Melissa and Colleen worked together at Avenue A, in a tiny apartment-like office nestled essentially IN the Holland Tunnel.  The two became instant friends after a dinner at the Aka Cafe. They have been through all sorts of ups and downs together.  Melissa loves her friends and family with ferocity and tells it like it is.  She will tell you, lovingly, that that dress/job/friend may not be totally right.  She will make your birthday gifts instead of buying them.  She will be your bodyguard if you’ll be her long lost pal.

Cathy Salazar Gutierrez

Cathy and Colleen met in college at NYU and haven’t parted since.  Colleen lived with Cathy longer than she has lived with Glenn, and if Cathy's husband Jorge hadn't come along she might have qualified as Colleen's domestic partner under common law.  Cathy is a rock.  She is strong and grounded with a quirky streak.  She has a bizarre fascination with sheep. Pro tip: keep an eye out for CATA – her hot-blooded alter ego – who comes out at night.

Marisa Bezjian

Marisa is Colleen’s longest time friend.  They met at the tender, drooly age of two months old and have stayed best friends ever since – even through Marisa’s vegan phase, which required Colleen to smilingly eat pancakes apparently made out of mulch.  Marisa is a doctor of veterinary medicine with a flair for adventure – performing surgeries on tigers, working and doing research in Uganda, and publishing for Wildlife Medicine journals.  One time on a jaunt in the Bahamas, Marisa showed Colleen how to rescue and resuscitate a baby bird that had fallen from a tree.  In turn, Colleen taught Marisa about Instagram and eyebrow threading.  They consider it an even trade.

Kristin France DeCastro

Kristin, better known to some as “French Toast”, worked with Colleen at MEC. Kristin has an amazing knack for sarcasm with just the right tinge of sweetness to make it ok and a unique fondness for breaking out into high leg kicks when the impulse strikes.  Colleen and Kristin failed French together in 2008 but have upheld a winning streak of having an obscenely good time together over the past 6 years.

Nancy Bitetto

Nancy and Colleen became friends post-college in NYC, during that mystical era when they could guzzle drinks into the wee hours (on school nights!) and feel fine the next morning.  A Jersey girl at heart who traded an accounting gig to spend her days running the world of high fashion, Nancy rocks McQueen and McSorley’s with equal enthusiasm.  She joined Colleen’s extended family reunion one year and everyone liked her better than actual family.  She smiles with her ENTIRE face.

Juliette DeCarlo

Colleen and Juliette met through a high school friend of Colleen’s in New York post-college. Juliette is all heart.  She is always ready to lend an ear and good advice, even after chasing around three kids under the age of three most of the day.  She screamed louder than anyone the night Glenn and Colleen announced their engagement and ordered champagne til the bar closed. Which was especially awesome because it was a sports bar.  You’ll spot her dancing, somewhat aerobically, most of the reception..
